Terms of Service

Last updated: May 25, 2026

Welcome to ZoomAssist Pro ("we", "our", "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the ZoomAssist Pro plugin for Adobe Premiere Pro and the website at zoomassistpro.com (together, the "Service"). By downloading, installing, or using ZoomAssist Pro, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Service.

1. What ZoomAssist Pro is

ZoomAssist Pro is a free, non-commercial Premiere Pro plugin built on Adobe's UXP platform. It helps editors create editable, cinematic punch-in zooms with custom bezier easing and presets — automating a workflow that normally takes many manual keyframes.

Why this plugin exists. ZoomAssist Pro was built first and foremost for the author's own editing work. After significant effort, it felt worth sharing with the community. What sets it apart from other zoom utilities is the focus on automated ease with custom bezier curves — letting you dial in a feel once and apply it consistently, instead of fighting keyframes for every cut.

In-app guides and documentation explain how to use the plugin. Even with extensive testing, you are expected to read the documentation and use the plugin responsibly on your own projects.

2. Free, nonprofit project

ZoomAssist Pro is and is intended to remain a free plugin. No payment is required to download, install, or use it. There is no paid tier, no subscription, and no in-app purchases.

Donations are optional. A "Buy me a coffee" link is provided as a way to appreciate the effort that went into building the plugin, the website, hosting, support, and ongoing maintenance. Donations are non-refundable, grant no additional rights, and do not create any obligation for us to provide updates, features, or support.

Because this is a nonprofit personal project, future updates are not guaranteed. The current stable release is version 1.2.4, available on this website.

3. Official source & impostors

The only official source for the ZoomAssist Pro .ccx installer is this website: zoomassistpro.com. As of May 2026, a submission to the Adobe Creative Cloud plugin marketplace is in progress; if and when it is approved, the Adobe marketplace listing will also be considered official.

Any other .ccx file claiming to be ZoomAssist Pro — shared via forums, Discord, torrents, third-party download sites, or anywhere else — should be treated as untrusted and potentially malicious. Do not install it. We are not responsible for any damage caused by unofficial copies.

4. Your projects & backups

ZoomAssist Pro modifies clips on your Premiere Pro timeline (keyframes, motion, optional markers). It has been tested across the supported Premiere Pro versions, but no plugin can guarantee zero issues across every project, sequence, codec, and OS configuration.

You are solely responsible for keeping backups of your Premiere Pro project files (.prproj) and any auto-save copies before and during use of the plugin. As a professional editor, maintaining versioned project backups is your responsibility regardless of which tools you use.

We are not responsible for project corruption, lost work, broken sequences, accidental edits, or any other issue affecting your project files.

5. Reporting bugs & sharing data

The plugin includes a feature that lets you package a bug report — for example screenshots and developer logs — into a local file on your computer. You decide what to include (e.g. which screenshots to attach) and are fully responsible for the contents of anything you share with us. Avoid including confidential client footage, sensitive project information, or personal data you do not want to disclose.

Due to Adobe UXP sandbox limitations, the plugin does not send emails automatically. To submit a report you must manually attach the generated file and send it from your own email client to support@zoomassistpro.com.

All support, contact, and bug-report communication happens exclusively via that email address. There is no in-app form, ticket system, or live chat.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

ZoomAssist Pro is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Although the plugin has gone through extensive development and continuous testing before each stable release, bugs and edge cases may still exist — partly because Adobe UXP itself is an evolving platform with its own limitations. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every future version of Premiere Pro.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ZoomAssist Pro and its author shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, revenue, data, project files, footage, deadlines, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service.

Because ZoomAssist Pro is a free, nonprofit project, total aggregate liability is limited to zero — or, where a court requires a non-zero cap, the amount you voluntarily donated to the project in the twelve months preceding the claim, if any.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Redistribute, repackage, resell, or rent the plugin or its installer;
  • Modify, reverse-engineer, or remove attribution from the plugin except as permitted by applicable law;
  • Distribute modified .ccx files or otherwise impersonate ZoomAssist Pro;
  • Use the plugin for any unlawful purpose or in violation of Adobe's own terms.

9. Trademarks

Adobe, Premiere Pro, and related logos are trademarks of Adobe Inc. ZoomAssist Pro is an independent third-party plugin and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Adobe.

10. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated occasionally — for example to reflect new features, clarify wording, or address legal changes. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Nothing in these Terms affects mandatory consumer rights you may have under the law of your country of residence.
